Within the fabric of this extraordinary city there resides equally extraordinary stories; Visioning Architecture is a 10-day immersion into idea generation and visualisation strategies that capture some of them.
The course takes full advantage of the riches of the AA premises in Bedford Square WC1, and its central London setting just a stone’s through from the British Museum, Soho, St. Giles and the Thames River. Students will be given a privileged access to some of the city’s sites that will act to trigger the development of richvisual narratives. The impressions and perceptions of London will be taken apart and reconfigured through transformational drawing processes to produce visionary images.
Students will work individually and collaboratively in small teams whilst simultaneously learning new freehand and digital visualisation skills.
“Not only do I draw better, …but my attitude to architecture has changed. It is like I have swallowed a bomb, and now it has exploded… Amen!” – Maya L.
“Thank you again for every wonderful moment Unit 1 spent together with you, your teachings and our wanderings around London were unforgettable. I am sure that this great professional moment I’m going through is greatly due to the time I spent with you guys in London, and for that I feel very grateful. What a great experience!” – Ian D.L.
